September 17, 2007-Benton, AR Lonnie Grim Motorsports received the “Brut Essence of Racing Award” at the 20th annual O’Reilly Mid-South NHRA Nationals at the Memphis Motorsports Park, where he competed to the semi-final Super Comp round. “It is a great honor to receive this award that shows our good sportsmanship and our eagerness to help out our fellow competitors,” Grim said. The award is presented at each national event to an NHRA Sportsman driver who exhibits extraordinary drag racing character. The “Essence of Racing Award” is designed to recognize participants that exemplify the Brut spirit of racing through traits such as teamwork, confidence, leadership, and responsibility. Lonnie Grim competes in the Super Comp and Super Gas classes in the NHRA South Central Division and at various national events around the country.
